Participation in symposium "The Non-Coding Genome"

Dr.biol. Angelika Voronova, researcher of LSFRI Silava Genetic resource centre, participated in the symposium The Non-Coding Genome from September 13–16, 2017 in Heidelberg, Germany.

The symposium was organized by EMBL (The European Molecular Biology Laboratory) and was devoted to genetic and physiological impacts of transposable elements.

This symposium was devote to explore the diverse, dynamic and multifaceted roles of RNA across a spectrum of cellular processes. It provided an interdisciplinary discussion of the roles of non-coding RNAs in both prokaryotes and eukaryotes, with the aim of enhancing our understanding of gene regulation and function.

The conference included also the poster session, where Angelika Voronova presented poster: Angelika Voronova, Dainis Rungis Investigation of transposable element derived polymorphisms in the Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) genome.
