Planned activities
- Development of a crop wild relative (CWR) inventory for Latvia and selection of a priority list of CWR for in situ conservation.
- Recommendations for the implementation of an in situ conservation plan in Latvia.
- Harmonisation of crop descriptors with GeNBIS partners to facilitate uploading of descriptor data to the GeNBIS database.
- Development of the crop descriptor database and uploading of selected descriptors to the GeNBIS database.
Results to be achieved:
- A CWR inventory for Latvia has been developed, and priority species identified.
- An outline of an in situ conservation plan for Latvia has been developed.
- The crop descriptor database has been maintained and updated, and selected crop descriptor data has been uploaded to GeNBIS.
