The aim of the program's operation is to create a synergy effect and prevent duplication in research work. An equally important task is to ensure the efficiency of resource use, increasing the return on investment in the research and development sector.
The tasks of the OSCAR2 cooperation program are:
- increase the level of knowledge and scientific and development potential in the field of forest operational systems by integrating the resources and experience of research institutions of different countries;
- to support and develop efficient, competitive and environmentally friendly forest operational systems by combining the forces of forest scientists from the Nordic and Baltic countries.
