Elections for the Director of LSFRI 'Silava' have taken place – Guntars Šņepsts has been elected Director

On June 26, during the meeting of the Scientific Council of the Latvian State Forest Research Institute 'Silava', Researcher Guntars Šņepsts was unanimously elected Director of the institute by secret ballot.

In accordance with the Law on Scientific Activity, the Director of the institute is responsible for ensuring the administrative, organisational and material-technical operations of the scientific institution, implementing decisions adopted by the Scientific Council, and representing the institute without requiring a special power of attorney.
