There are only three months until IUFRO's XXVI World Congress "Forest and Society Towards 2050" starts, where during the seven days more than 5000 world-class scientists will meet in 200 scientific sessions to discuss the latest scientific discoveries and advances in forest science. Among the 3500 oral and 1000 poster presentations there will be also scientists from LSFRI "Silava" who also present research results which are carried out in the Institute.

During the congress there will be also an exhibition area, where visitors can learn about the latest innovations and scientific achievements to find solutions for a sustainable future. Among the 40 exhibitors – also will be LSFRI "Silava".

The XXVI IUFRO World Congress will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, from June 23 to 29. It will be organised by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in collaboration with Nordic and Baltic partners: forest science institutes and forest inclusive universities from Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania and Norway.
