26th IUFRO World Congress "Forest and Society Towards 2050" will take place in Sweden from 23–29 June this year. Although registration for the pre- and post-Congress tours has only recently opened, more than 500 persons have already signed up! Therefore, we encourage anyone not postpone registration until the last minute, but to do it early, as the number of participants is limited.

One of the nine excursions, offered during the Congress, is The Baltic countries – green jewels of Europe. The Latvian State Forest Research Institute "Silava" is one of its organizers.
26th IUFRO World Congress "Forest and Society Towards 2050" is organized by the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with Nordic and Baltic partners: forest science institutes and forest universities from Latvia, Finland, Estonia, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania and Norway.
