The 6th Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP) conference Advancing ecosystem services knowledge for achieving a nature and people positive Europe was held in Prague, Czech Republic from May 18 to 22. The Conference brought together more than 600 scientists, policymakers and practitioners from various countries.
Scientists of LSFRI 'Silava', Zane Lībiete and Edgars Jūrmalis also participated in the Conference, presenting two posters on research projects carried out at the Institute and funded by the Latvian Council of Science:
- Zane Lībiete: Beauty on the way: How do people rate forest roads across the seasons? — presenting the study of project Forest roads as multifunctional ecosystems: Biodiversity, ecosystem services and non-services, which examines public perceptions of forest roads across different seasons.

- Edgars Jūrmalis: Exploring geocaching data through qualitative analysis of user comments — presenting the research of project Impact on the environment and management challenges in forest areas important for recreation in Latvia and exploring the potential of geocaching users' comments for studying recreational and cultural ecosystem services.
Participation in the Conference provided an opportunity to learn about the latest research directions and methods in the field of ecosystem services, present research findings of LSFRI 'Silava' to international audience, and establish contacts for future scientific collaboration.
