The travelling exhibition “Science for Latvia 2026” was officially opened at the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia on 24 September. The exhibition is one of the highlights of this year’s Science Month.

The exhibition and this year’s Science for Latvia calendar feature 12 Latvian scientists representing a wide range of research fields, including biology, chemistry, forest science, agriculture, robotics and other scientific disciplines. The exhibition introduces visitors to the scientists’ work, the institutions they represent and their most significant research projects, showcasing the diversity and achievements of Latvian science.

Among this year’s featured scientists is Dagnija Lazdiņa, Senior Researcher at the Latvian State Forest Research Institute “Silava”. Her research contributes to the advancement of forest science and the development of sustainable forest management solutions.

The exhibition invites the wider public to discover the work of Latvian scientists and its importance for the country’s development, while also inspiring greater interest in research. At the same time, it helps raise the profile of Latvian science both nationally and internationally.

The travelling exhibition “Science for Latvia 2026” will continue its journey across Latvia, offering the public an opportunity to learn about this year’s outstanding representatives of Latvian science and their research.
